MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) encourages and equips moms of young children to realize their potential as mothers, women, and leaders, in relationship with Jesus.

We build circles of moms who love each other like family. If you are a mom – from the time you are expecting your first child until your last finishes kindergarten – you are welcome!  MOPS at Lake Pointe Bible Church meets September through May on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month from 9:00 am – 11:00 am.  Our meetings include breakfast, teaching time about issues that are relevant to moms, as well as discussion with other moms that understand what you are going through!  We also have an outstanding MOPS Kids program, staffed with wonderful volunteers that care for and teach our children while we moms enjoy some “grown-up time.”

Planning to join us?  Here are some things you should know before you come:

Childcare
  • Child care is FREE!
  • All volunteers have been background checked and have signed Child Protection Policies on file with the church.
  • Babies up to 6 months are welcome to stay with you in the meeting (or they can go to the nursery, whichever you prefer!)
  • Please label any items you send with your child (sippy cups, pacifiers, etc.) with their name.
  • If your child is sick, please do not bring them. (No fever, vomiting, rash, etc. in last 24 hours, please.)
  • Please fill out a MOPS Kids Registration Form for EACH child you are bringing so that we can ensure they receive the best care. Forms should be given to your child’s teacher when you drop them off.
  • Snacks will be served, so be sure to indicate any allergies on your child’s form.

Registration and Dues
  • You may attend your first meeting at no charge just to check it out and decide if you’d like to join.
  • Costs include an annual membership with MOPS International ($32) and local dues of $25 per semester (collected in September and January).
  • Scholarships are available, so please don’t let cost influence your decision to join!
  • The registration form can be found here.  Filling it out beforehand will save some stress and make your first meeting experience more enjoyable!

Snow Policy
  • We follow the Plymouth-Canton school district for snow days. If they have a snow day on a MOPS Friday, our meeting will be cancelled as well.

When You Arrive
  • Parking is in the back of the church.  You will come in through the main entrance off the parking lot.
  • Childcare (other than nursery) is located in the basement.  To drop off your kids, head downstairs and go straight ahead through the double doors and look for the check-in table.  Nancy will be there to help with registration forms and direct your child(ren) to the proper classroom.
  • The meeting space for moms is upstairs in the “overflow room” directly behind the main auditorium. Once you have dropped off for childcare, come join us upstairs for breakfast!
  • We usually mingle and chat for the first few minutes and then once food is all ready you can grab a plate and find your table.  Tables are assigned, so if you’re not sure where to sit, just ask and someone will direct you.
